​Meet the OTHER famous Dave. Dave VonRueden or DVR as he is known to most. DVR began work with the Anderson family on May 1, 1994, when the "Original" Famous Dave's was being built on Round Lake, in Hayward, WI. Prior to this time, DVR was working as the kitchen manager at Tobie's Restaurant in Hinkley, MN.

DVR has been the "behind the scenes" guy for most of Famous Dave's creations. DVR is the "jack of all trades" kind of guy, from the kitchen to the wood shop. DVR was next to Dave Anderson in the test kitchen, building the restaurants, and hiring, training, and managing staff.

The building of furniture, interior/exterior walls, and other wood products found in Tamarack Farms and Old Southern BBQs were all designed and built by DVR, (with input and approval of Famous Dave of course). The building which Tamarack Farms is in now, was once DVR's wood shop where the furniture was built. It is also where the fruit wine recipes were created and the idea of Tamarack Farms Winery was birthed.

So if you want to meet the "other" Dave, he is the General Manager at Tamarack Farms Winery, working in the kitchen most of the time, and occasionally at your nearby Old Southern BBQ. Stop in and say "hi".
